you were overweight and had a mustache and i think you had some funky haircut you are a teacher and you have high blood and a bad back and you just came from the gym and i should go sometime and yea i plan to go soon and you were gonna go on medication and you were gonna be dependent on it but you reasoned the implications and consequences you thought about how they might not have the medicine if you decided finally to go somewhere you asked my grade laughed that i was a senior it's good you are right there it's almost over you said it goes by fast i said yea it does you mentioned how your senior year seemed like last year. you laughed.
you laughed after every self-deprecating comment you laughed
about how you had all these big dreams and how one thing led to another and how you tried to apply to these colleges but, you know, you didn't know all the requirements how you took a course in guam how a teacher is what you got and you laugh and

we laughed and i said it was good how you saw that you lost nine pounds after a run on the treadmill and you were smiling and laughing about it, how you checked your blood pressure and it was normal now and now you just had to keep it up you had to keep off the rice like you've been the past three weeks and the coffee with sugar, stick with sugarless sweeteners, live off the sweet potato and wheat bread and i said it was good and i was happy for your victory for your lost weight and return to a right blood pressure those small things big things make you feel so good and this victory made me feel so good and i said thanks thanks when i left you in the lot and i wonder where you head what you are and if it lasts but what is important and what i wont forget is that you won today you won you won you won you were smiles and laughter and you were good and i wont forget this time around and how good even vicariously that feels thank you thanks thanks
